To be in her presence is to be humbled by the wisdom and the strength that she has fostered throughout the ages.

Maharet was one of the first to take me in, and she did so with kindness and tremendous generosity. I learned more over my time in her company than I have at any other period of my life.

The ancient sisters, Maharet and Mekare, are among the very first of our kind, and it is their perpetual determination that ensures our continued existence. They will forever have my devotion and humble respect.
